Reliable Slot Technician who understands the importance of following state laws when doing slot machine maintenance.
Class 2 slot machines are generally found in smaller gambling locations. The players are all playing against each other and competing for the jackpot. The more people that lose money to the game, the higher the jackpot is. Class 3 slot machines are more common in large gambling cities such as Las Vegas. A Slot Technician maintains slot machines, replaces parts, and cleans machines as needed. Removes machines from gaming floor with the aid of a hand truck as needed. Being a Slot Technician may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Service and repairs slot machines. Perform Slot Machine Moves, Conversions, Game installs, and other slot projects as assigned and in conjunction with all applicable Alcohol and Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) regulations and Casino internal controls. Become IGT Certified Proper service, maintenance, and optimization of Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) are critical to player satisfaction and successful gaming operations. This certification program offers classes covering new and existing product lines for floor personnel, slot technicians, and bench technicians.
Regardless of the casino, to work as a slot technician you must meet minimum education and experience requirements.
Most casinos prefer their slot technicians to have previous gaming experience.
A college degree isn't required to work as a slot technician; you only need a high school diploma or GED.
If you desire to work in a casino as a slot technician, be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry heavy items, potentially up to 50 pounds.
